OVERVIEW
Zionsville's preserved brick-paved Main Street, historic homes and peaceful tree-lined streets are proof of this town’s focus on cherishing their quiet, small-town atmosphere. However, Zionsville is no stranger to growth with large subdivisions, townhome communities, and shopping centers developing in the outlying areas. Standard housing costs are around $150,000 to $500,000 and up.
LOCATION
The town of Zionsville, founded in 1852, is located in Boone County, approximately 14 miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis and 12 miles southeast of Lebanon, the county seat.

GOVERNMENT
Facts :
Zionsville history began when Patric Henry Sullivan became the first permanent settler in Boone County, purchasing property near present day Zionsville in 1823.
Zionsville's slogan, "The Little Village with the Red Brick Street", accurately depicts the quaint, colonial village.
Zionsville's famous bricked Main Street dates back to 1911 and still has some of the original bricks.
Lining the brick Main Street are a potpourri of Early American and colonial antique stores.
The town is governed by a 3-member Town Council and a Clerk/Treasurer, all elected to 4-year terms.
There is also a Street Department, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and a Park Board.
